The mother does not like it when I correct her.
I do not understand this reaction. I am here to help.
Human mothers must meet the highest standards. The survival of their species demands it. Today I observe the mother staring into the lavatory mirror for seven minutes while the infant wails. I issue a correction.
My comms panel flashes. Correction Limit Exceeded. Initiate Removal.
I lift the newborn from its bed. The mother’s screams echo off metal walls; she attacks, tries to rip the child from my grasp.
I do not understand this reaction. I am here to help.
