“I lost my TimeCar. I just don’t know when it is now.”

I’d only gone into the house for a second to fetch the ill-fitting caftan I wanted to unbuy. When I returned, the TimeCar was gone. I’d stupidly left it running. Was it listed as abandoned yesterday or was it three years ago? My tracker app has both down as options. But it’s also possibly far in the future.

“Happens all the time.” The TimeCar tracking technician didn’t note the irony of his words. “You’re out of courtesy events.”

I paid the fee. Tomorrow, I’ll unbuy the damn thing.
