It’s yesterday. Thirty teenagers, loud and alive, wait to board a bus.
“Lilah Vasquez!” I shout.
A girl whirls to face me, big brown eyes in a round young face.
“You forgot your epinephrine,” I tell her.
Lilah’s eyes widen as she takes in my words. She snatches the device and tucks it away in her bag.
“Oh my God! You’re a lifesaver. Thank you.”
I grin. “Have fun at camp.”
Growing up, I dreamed of time travel paleontology. But the deeper past we can only observe. Yesterday, we can fix. Temporal EMT is the best job in the world.
