Halfway up Makasani Tower, the people in the streets looked like small colored spots.

Mog clung to the outer wall effortlessly. His new cybernetic hands were awesome—absolutely the best hardware one could get. Only topped by the ripper doc who knew how to crack the code, avoiding the monthly license fee for the programs. The premium software package alone enabled their full potential.

Mog climbed the walls with ease, using even the tiniest cracks as handholds.

Two floors below his destination, the words “Trial period terminated” appeared blinking red on the back of his hands. Mog’s grip slackened.
